Tösens, Tyrol

Two semi-detached homes, at 931 metres in the Upper Inn valley, with the Ötztal Alps across the skyline. One of the best-connected corners of the Alps.

A single skipass opens six resorts and around 350 kilometres of pistes. Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis is twelve minutes away. Ischgl, one of Austria’s most respected resorts, twenty.

The valley doesn’t empty when the snow goes. The Via Claudia and the River Inn cycle route run through the village, rafts run the Tösens gorge, the trails climb into the Pfundser Tschey. Two Michelin-starred restaurants within reach. It works the whole year, not one season of it.

Opposite stands the Römerbrücke, the oldest surviving bridge in Tyrol. The Finstermünz Pass leads to the Swiss Engadine and St Moritz. Bormio and the Stelvio Park sit over the Italian border. Three countries, inside an hour.
