1. Who we are and how to contact us

Azuro Holding AG (trading as “Azuro”), Lange Gasse 15, 4052 Basel, Switzerland, is the controller for personal data collected via this website and our waitlist (the “Site”).

This Site is intended for adults; please do not submit data if you are under 18.

2. Scope

This notice covers visits to the Site, joining the waitlist, and receiving updates/marketing from us. If and when we launch a transaction platform or app, we will provide a product-specific privacy notice.

3. Personal data we collect

• Identity & contact: name, email, phone (optional), country/city.
• Preference data: interests, locations, indicative budget bands you share.
• Technical & usage: IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, referral source; collected via cookies or similar technologies (see Cookies below).
• Communications: messages, forms, survey responses.

We do not intentionally collect special-category data (e.g., health) or criminal-offence data through the Site.

4. Sources

Directly from you (forms, emails), automatically from your device (cookies/SDKs), and from service providers operating our Site and analytics.

5. Purposes and legal bases

We use your data to:

• Operate the waitlist and respond to enquiries (pre-contract/contract; legitimate interests in running our business).
• Send service updates and marketing (our legitimate interests; consent where required by law).
• Secure and improve the Site (security, troubleshooting, analytics; legitimate interests; consent for non-essential cookies).
• Comply with law and manage opt-outs/suppression (legal obligation/legitimate interests).
• Where we rely on consent (e.g., non-essential cookies or certain marketing), you can withdraw it at any time via the methods in Your choices.

6. Cookies and similar tech

We use (i) strictly necessary cookies to make the Site work and (ii) analytics cookies only with your prior consent where required. Manage preferences any time via Cookie Settings in the footer. A cookie table will be maintained there.

7. Sharing

We share personal data with:

• Service providers/“processors” (hosting, CRM/email, analytics, security) under written contracts and our instructions.
• Authorities or third parties where required by law or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal data.

8. International transfers

We are based in Switzerland. The EU and the UK recognise Switzerland as providing an adequate level of protection. For transfers to other countries (e.g., to vendors in the US), we use recognised safeguards (such as EU SCCs and UK IDTA/addenda) and, where required, a transfer risk assessment.

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures (access controls, encryption in transit, minimisation, audit). No internet transmission is 100% secure.

10. Retention

Waitlist and marketing: kept for up to 24 months from your last meaningful interaction or until you opt out—whichever is sooner.
Suppression records: kept as needed to honour opt-outs.
We may retain data longer if required by law or to resolve disputes.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.

• EU/EEA & UK users may contact their local supervisory authority (e.g., the ICO in the UK).
• Switzerland: you may contact the FDPIC.
We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

If we are required to appoint an EU or UK GDPR representative, we will publish contact details here and on our Contact page. Until then, please contact us directly at the details above.

13. Changes

We will update this notice from time to time. The latest version is the one shown by the Effective date.

14. AI chat assistant

Our Site offers an automated chat assistant based on an AI language model; you are not chatting with a person. Nothing is stored or sent until you start using it. When you do, we process your messages, the generated answers, a session identifier stored in your browser until you close it, the page language and technical data such as your IP address.

We use this to answer your questions about Azuro and to review and improve the approved answers (legitimate interests). If you leave contact details in the chat or join the waitlist afterwards, we use your question to prepare our reply (pre-contract steps at your request). Members of our team read conversations.

The chat is operated through service providers acting as our processors: a workflow provider hosting in the EU, an AI model provider and a team-messaging provider in the US. Transfers to the US are protected by the safeguards described in section 8. Conversations are not used to train AI models.

Chat records in the workflow system are deleted after 30 days at the latest; copies read by our team are deleted within 12 months, unless you joined the waitlist, in which case section 10 applies. To access or delete a conversation, contact us with the date and approximate time of the chat.
